The anusvara ं is a dot written above the top bar of a syllable. It nasalises the vowel before it and also represents nasal consonants before certain stops.
The anusvara can appear over any vowel: आं, इं, ईं, कां, etc.

- म + े + ं = में ('me\u1e43') — 'in' (postposition)
- ह + ै + ं = हैं ('hai\u1e43') — are (plural)
