Series and Parallel Circuits

PV strings are typically modules in series to raise voltage. Parallel connections raise current.

Rules of thumb

• Series: voltages add; current is limited by the lowest-current element.
• Parallel: currents add; voltage stays (approximately) the same for each branch.

Understanding these patterns helps with stringing decisions and troubleshooting.
